This series of abstract metal flowers explores the intersection of resilience, renewal, and the quiet power of nature. Created using industrial metals, each piece balances strength with delicacy, blossoms emerging from steel, evoking the tenacity of growth in even the most unlikely environments. The forms are intentionally non-literal, suggesting the essence of flowers rather than replicating them, inviting the viewer to engage emotionally rather than descriptively.
Rooted in the philosophy of forest bathing (shinrin-yoku), this work is a meditation on the restorative qualities of nature and its ability to anchor us in the present. Just as forest bathing encourages slowing down to observe the subtleties of the natural world, these sculptures ask for a quiet kind of attention. The textured surfaces and fluid contours reflect the sensory richness of being immersed in woodland environments, filtered light, rustling leaves, and the organic unpredictability of life.
Hope is the central thread, hope in regeneration, in the cycles of nature, and in our capacity to reconnect with ourselves through our connection with the earth. These flowers do not wilt. They endure, and in their abstraction, they hold space for personal interpretations, growth, and the possibility of emotional healing through art.
